Crisis intervention

Kindspace

Crisis intervention is addressed to people who have experienced or are experiencing difficulties or traumas such as: accident, death of a loved one, divorce, loss of job and others. Crisis situations also include events such as marriage, pregnancy or the birth of a child, and even professional promotion. An unexpected, sudden change requires more than usual mental effort, increases the level of anxiety, reduces the sense of control, and this means that existing coping methods are not sufficient and psychological support is needed. The purpose of crisis intervention is to support a person in crisis, strengthen their resources and help them recover.
